Cup Game Verses Cowichan

Well my friends, You all know the score, but if you couldn’t be there, here’s a little bit more.

Poor RJ was still in pain, but he came to watch even in the light rain, so he was not playin is what I am sayin
But Ryan Lich was back on the pitch, Though not feeling great, his play was first rate
And Quinn's foot was mostly healed so he was playing out on the field.

In the first minute Quinn let one rip, outside the 18, it was a great trip. The keeper was tested, but in his hands it rested.

Then at 6 minutes Cowichan took a free kick and through a deflection the first goal did stick.

At 11 minutes, Evan set up Quinn but unfortunately that one, just didn’t go in

8 minutes later Cowichan has a break away, and ultimately scored their second goal of the day.

Then Tom breaks away with a pass from behind and the back of the net his kick did find,
but a linesman briefly waved his flag in the air suggesting off-side had probably been there.

Though 2 to zero at half time was the score, Gorge was ready to get out there and roar

2 minutes in, things got better when Tom from Jordy scored with a header

For most of the half both teams played very tough without another goal, we were feeling pretty rough,

But after37 minutes JW is set up by Quinn, and wouldn’t you know it, our second goal goes in.
It was a beautiful shot, low and to the right, now we knew we were in for a real good fight.

At the end of official time the tie still stood, Who was going to win? We knew we could

Throughout over time, no one could find the back of the net, Who would win, we didn’t know yet.

So now penalty kicks would be the determinator,
and Ryan Erikson stepped in as a keeper and intimidator

Russel’s shot was stopped and Cowichan’s first was a score
So Quinn put one in and Cowichan put in one more
Lich’s was stopped by the keeper and Erikson punched Cowichan’s over the bar
Then Clayton put one home but Cowichan was up to three so far
Steve put his in to make it 3 for us, but Cowichan scored four which for us was a bust

Cowichan was up by one goal when the kicks were done.
The Cup Game was over and Cowichan had won.
