Melted away was the snow, blown away were the clouds and rain, and the sun found its rightful place on the Gorge U-16 Gold Boys team. Injury, suspension, and other sports did not stop Jordy, Quinn and Tom from joining the team from the sidelines as unusual, but appreciated cheerleaders. Ryan Lich was unable to lick the flu, but was surely cheering from afar.

2:44 Russ sends in another beautiful cross to RJ that is flicked to Mohin whos shot is stopped by an hand ball inside the 18, but again no call is made and play continues
2:51 Oak Bay makes their first major offensive with a shot off the post that goes wide.

?:00 At an undetermined time in 2nd half, Tom B arrives and subs in, but shortly thereafter, seriously injures his ankle and is unable to continue on the field.
2:59 A beautiful sequence by Mohin to RJ and off to Russ who beat the defence and bring the score to 2 for Gorge, Zero for Bays
3:34 Russ again beats two defenders and sends in Ryan E who dekes a defender and brings the score to 3 – 0
3:40 Ryan E. subs in as keeper and Mateus moves up into forward position
3:43 David sends a shot ringing off the crossbar and goes out of bounds
RJ is taken out by a dirty tackle but no call is made. RJ is carried off the field and Gorge is down to 10 players.

And so ends the game in a 3 - 0 victory.
