Gorge FC v Gordon Head Nov 25

Gorge FC 3 - 0 Gordon Head

A chilling breeze penetrated to the core. Fingers numb, toes aching, but the game goes on. Snow begins to fall 15 minutes into the game and repeatedly stops and starts again testing our fortitude.

Where in the world is Tom Bridger? Having dominated the previous GHSA match with a hat-trick, the Gorge squad was anxious to keep his momentum going with out him.

T minus 10 before the game, Evan Xavier and Ryan L collide in warm-ups to leave a bluish bump on Ryan's eye bone.

At the 20 minute mark, GHSA takes a shot and Mateus deflects it wide, but the charging opposition acquired possession and DRILLED it at the net, only to "ring it off the wood-work" and watch it go out of bounds.

25 minutes into the game Quinn sends Jordy up the field. Dodging and "schooling" a number of defenders, Jordy dashes forward. The keeper lunges and falls to the ground, but Jordy pulls the ball wide to the right and sends it home for the first goal of the game.

Moments later, David R. in a full run, is hit in mid stride and is spun around in mid-air like a ballerina. Very elegant. "A" for form.

76 minutes into regulation play, Russel places a corner kick to Quinn who has his first opportunity of the season to head the ball between the posts for the second goal.

At 86 minutes in, Quinn launches another another howitzer from the 20 yard line and scores goal number 3 to conclude the scoring events.

Wayner AKA Terminator was a force to be reconned with as a linesman in the first half. His personal cheering squad rallied despite the chilling weather.
