Gorge FC 7 - 0 Bays United



Lovely break in the rain clouds gave us moments of sunshine and zero precipitation. The ball on the wet turf was Very Fast frequently outrunning the players.

Early inspiration was delivered by Barb F. showing the rest of the team that Ginger Bread Latte’s are back at Star Bucks.
Despite the chilly weather Nikki B then put on her best game face by smushing her nose and lips against the clubhouse window.

With this level of parental support, the boys had a smashing game with the following statistics.

4:28 Scoring was opened by Ryan E planting Quinn’s first corner kick in the net.
4:42 Ryan L delivered the second goal by taking a pass from Jordy, maneuvering through traffic and sending the ball between the posts
5:02 Russel did an artistic little backwards kick to give Gorge goal #3
5:05 Ryan L perfectly placed a rocket in the upper corner, nearly tearing the net after a well placed throw-in from RJ
5:08 Russel makes a huge run up the field and unassisted puts his second into the net
5:15 Ryan E puts his second header goal of the season into the net off of a Quinn Corner
5:17 Russel follows Tom’s lead from last week and gets his 1st hat trick of the season.

David R had a very solid game as sweeper, regularly upsetting the opposition’s scoring opportunities.

When the ball did it past the defence Mateus was an impenetrable wall having another shut-out game.
