Gorge FC hosts the Upper Island B Cup rep Sunday at 2:15 on the Hampton Park turf field.

This will be the second time that the Gorge FC team has played off for the Island B Cup. The first time was back in U12 when Gorge FC lost a close game at home to Comox Valley. The Comox team went on to win the Provincials.

Last years Island B Cup rep, Oceanside, folded this year as many of them joined the U16 Upper Vancouver Island Metro team. Neither Port Alberni or Comox fielded a U16 team this season. The U16 Upper Island Division consists of a U16 rep team and two house teams all from Nanaimo. The team representing the Upper Island is U16 Nanaimo (Fuller).

The winner of this match qualify's as the Island Rep for the BCSA Cup Provincials (B Cup), July 5-8 at Comox Valley. The winner also advances to a Coastal Cup Semi-Final match (Mar 31) against a Lower Mainland team. The Coastal Cup is the lower mainland teams playoff to the BCSA Cup Provincials.
