Game Summary

The sun hid itself behind a veil of clouds,
perhaps avoiding the game and the crowds.
Two teams entered the field, undefeated in the league
A win they both wanted, a deep burning need.

Control of the game changed from minute to minute
Keeping us guessing about who would win it.
Great plays were made but all goals denied
And at half time the score remained tied.

Then at fifty five minutes into the game
Charging up the field Gordon Head came
Mateus ran out to challenge the man with the ball
And most keepers would agree it was the best call
But the challenger kicked it over his head
And suddenly by one goal the challengers lead.

For the rest of the time Gorge fought to regain
A goal or two, and undefeated remain
And though the rains held off until the match was done.
At the close of the game, Gordon Head had won.
